Drop in Session for Jobs and Careers in Tech, Electech and PEMD
We are holding a face-to-face event at the Storey Institute, Writing room (ground floor), in Lancaster on the 23rd April 2022 to help anyone of any age and ability looking for new roles learn about job opportunities in regional PEMD and Electech industries.

The event will be hosted by Tech Lancaster who in 2021 ran a number of regional skills and careers events and skills bootcamps to help people of all ages and abilities find new roles in electech – its highly successful “Electronics Skills Bootcamp” secured new and improved job roles for a number of its participants.
Our event on the 23rd April will be an opportunity to speak to representatives from Tech Lancaster and local industry about careers , job vacancies and how it is possible to play a part in this exciting globally important industry.
Event to include:
- Learn more about PEMD and Electech job roles from local industry representatives.
- Opportunity to learn more about further Tech Lancaster FREE skills bootcamps planned for 2022 and 2023 in PEMD and Electech and ability to pre-register.
- Get hand-on with PEMD Electech demonstrations including robots, electronics Arduino kits and other exciting exhibits.
- A chance to meet representatives from one of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers.
The Storey Institute can be easily reached and is located in central Lancaster. Car Parking is available in many locations nearby (see here). For public transport, it is a 5 minute walk to the mainline rail station and 10 minutes walk to the main Lancaster bus station. Please take a look at Google maps for more information here.
