Save Energy and Money

The energy debate goes on, and while it is generally recognised that our actions are a major contributing factor to climate change, there are still many reputable bodies and individuals who maintain that this is a natural process over which we have little control.

In the meantime, many people still like to do their bit for the environment, and this can take various forms, from reusing plastic bags to improved loft insulation and greater efficiency in their Wet Earth Water Tank .

Often we find that actions we take in the name of saving energy have other benefits, for us and for others. Take plastic bags, as this is a prime example of a small scale activity which is easy for everyone to do. By reusing your plastic bag when you go shopping, you are saving energy and raw materials.

At the same time, you are protecting wildlife, as it is scientifically proven that many birds die each year after trying to consume plastic bags which have been discarded. And of course, you are saving money by reusing your bags.

Loft insulation is another good example. Although it may cost us more initially to install additional loft insulation or more efficient heating systems, our investment can be recouped within a relatively short period. So save energy and money. It really is a no brainer!
