Most of us are looking to save money in as many areas of our life as possible including switching to own brands in the supermarket, looking for special deals in the shops and generally shopping around for the cheapest of whatever we are looking for.
One way that we can save costs is to switch gas and electricty suppliers – after all, they are things that we cannot do without in the home so it makes sense to try and save money on them by shopping for the lowest tariffs.
One reason that many people are put off switching supplier is because they imagine that it will be a real hassle to do and that their incumbent supplier will make it as difficult as possible to try and put them off from switching.
While this may have been true in the past, it is in fact getting easier to shop around and switch energy suppliers, partly due to public pressure and partly due to the new openness of information that can be found on the internet.
Check it out, and compare energy prices for your region across different suppliers and you may find that it makes a real difference to your monthly bill. Imagine how much more shopping you could do if you could save just ten per cent on energy each month!
