We have all heard that federal tax credits are available if we purchase energy efficient products for our homes. This is great, but you need to keep in mind that not all products will qualify for the Federal Tax Credit for consumer energy efficiency. So do not make the mistake that some have made and think that just because the product you are purchasing has the Energy Star logo on it that it qualifies for this credit. Energy Star just designates that a product is energy-efficient, it does not designate that it qualifies for the tax credit.
